Hunter Education Flashcards

This page turns our hunter education practice questions into flashcards you can flip and rate. Then it builds a short drill from the topics you miss most.

Pick your exam below. Read the question and answer it in your head, then flip the card. Tap Got it if you knew it, or Again if you did not.

How the five card boxes work

Every card starts out new. Tap Got it and the card moves up one box. Tap Again and it drops back to box 1, whatever box it was in.

The higher the box, the longer a card waits before it comes back. Box 1 cards come back in the same sitting. Box 2 waits a day and box 3 waits three days. Box 4 waits a week, and box 5 waits about two weeks. So the cards you know stop eating your time, and the ones you miss keep coming back.

Each study round deals up to 20 cards. Cards that are due come first, lowest box first. New cards fill the rest. A card you mark Again comes back later in the same round, up to two more times.

Where your weak topics come from

The drill looks at two things saved in your browser. The first is a practice exam you started on this site and have not finished yet. Each answer you picked there counts as right or wrong for its topic.

The second is your flashcard taps. Got it counts as a right answer, and Again counts as a miss. A finished exam clears its saved answers, so after that the drill leans on your cards.

Topics are ranked by the share you got right, lowest first. The drill then deals 10 cards from your weakest topics, with the cards you missed at the front.

Keyboard shortcuts for the cards

  • Space or Enter flips the card
  • 1 marks the card Again
  • 2 marks the card Got it
  • Tab moves between the buttons, if you would rather use those

Questions about hunter education flashcards

Are the flashcards the same questions as the practice exams?

Yes. Each card is a question from that exam's practice set, with the same answer, explanation and source. We wrote them from the published course topics. They are not copied from any official exam bank.

Where are my card boxes saved?

In your browser's own storage, on this device only. Nothing about your cards is sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data resets them, and a private window forgets them when it closes.

Do flashcards replace the full practice exam?

No. A card shows you the answer as soon as you flip it. The full practice exam makes you pick one of four options, the way the real test does, and then gives you a score. Use the cards to learn, then the exam to check.

Why does the drill say there is nothing to work on yet?

It needs some answers first. Rate a round of cards, or answer a few questions in that exam's practice test. Then come back, and the drill will rank your topics.
