Which hunter education course you need
- CORE vs CFSC in British ColumbiaOne is provincial and one is federal, and most firearm hunters need both.
- PAL vs POLThe POL closed to new applicants, then picked up acquisition powers in 2015.
- What Happens If You Fail the CORE ExamRewrites are normal. The BCWF's only timing rule: not on the same day you failed.
- Hunter Education Transfer Between ProvincesThirteen official sources checked, one per province and territory. Where one is silent, we say so.

Study notes for the exam material
Licensing is the paperwork. The exam asks about other things: firearm actions and ammunition, telling a black bear from a grizzly, hypothermia. Shot placement too. Each gets its own page in the study guides, written against the published curriculum for the course it belongs to.
These practice questions are written from published curriculum. They aren't copies of any official exam. Score well and you're ready to book the real one, but a good score is not a credential. How we write them.
